Biography

Tiziana Amico (*1991) is an Italian photographer and visual researcher, now based in Zurich. She is particularly drawn to exploring the intricate dynamics between body and space within the realms of identity, memory and sense of belonging.

Her artistic journey began as a visual translation of her legal research. Initially, photography served as an aide-memoire for her fieldwork findings. But it gradually evolved into a dedicated commitment to documenting different social realities, creating a symbiotic relationship between photography and law. Using collaborative research techniques like workshops, interviews and participant observation, she critically examines how images shape narratives.
