Metanoia
The project “Metanoia” is imbued with a tension between the real and the imaginary, blending organic forms with blurred landscapes that seem to fade before our eyes. The photographs of flowers, distorted by analog manipulations, evoke underwater worlds or altered visions, as if nature were struggling to exist in a new dimension. Combined with colorful landscapes (abstract lines of sky, sea, and sun from the Set Sun series), these works convey the idea of continuous mutation and fragility.
Sanctuary
Cédric Raccio is a Swiss artist born in 1981. He graduated in photography from the École cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL) in 2010. His artistic journey has evolved from exploring the aesthetics and social dynamics of Generation Y to focusing on ecological transformation and the fragility of our environment.
His latest project, Metanoia, is a poignant reflection on the tension between reality and imagination, where organic forms and abstracted landscapes blur together. Using an analog manipulation technique, Cédric transforms local flowers into fluid, almost otherworldly visions, evoking questions about our changing natural world and the impact of human intervention.
Cédric’s work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and festivals, including prestigious events like Vevey Images and Gibellina, with his projects often featuring strong themes of environmental change, landscape mutation, and the delicate balance of nature. His practice also embraces video installations, pushing boundaries through interdisciplinary collaboration. With a commitment to exploring the materiality and aesthetics of the photographic medium, Cédric continues to refine his approach, offering a fresh and thought-provoking commentary on contemporary issues.
He collaborates with well-known curators, art historians, and institutions, presenting his work across Switzerland and internationally.
