Daniel Blochwitz

Daniel Blochwitz (*1973) is a photography specialist, working as curator, lecturer, publicist and advisor. As curator, he has organized a number of well-received solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries in the United States, Switzerland and Germany and in this function recently also joined the team of Fotofestival Lenzburg. Previously, he has worked for contemporary art and photography galleries in New York City and Zurich for over a decade. He was also named curator and artistic director for photo basel, the first and only art fair in Switzerland dedicated to photography, for the editions 2018 and 2019. Blochwitz graduated with a Master’s degree in Photography (with a minor in German Literature and Film) from the University of Florida in 2003.
